Welcome to the third part in our “GTA Artists | 100K AND BELOW” series. If you haven’t read the first and second part, make sure you do! For those of you who aren’t familiar with the GTA, it basically is the Greater Toronto Area (so Toronto and its surrounding cities). There are so many amazing artists I know and have discovered just by living here and having this blog as well. So, in this blog, we will be sharing 6 artists with you all varying in different genres and sounds.

With the arrival of March, we’re proud to celebrate International Women’s Day all month long, and to extend our support, we sat down and spoke with eight creative women to highlight their work in practice. The theme of this year’s IWD is “Break The Bias” — seeking a world free of stereotypes and discrimination where difference is valued and celebrated to create a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. We were fortunate enough to talk with women from Toronto and Vancouver, discussing their careers, achievements, and upbringings while focusing on their artistry and individuality. They welcomed us into their homes, studios, and workspaces to get a feel about who they are, what they do, and why International Women’s Day is important to them.

Jasmine Kiara Rowe Samadhdin recently travelled from her home in Toronto, Canada, to visit Guyana for the first time to explore her Guyanese roots. Her first impression of the country is quite interesting, noting our rich culture, hospitality and people in oneness. Her father is Guyanese and is from Agricola, while her mother is of East Indian descent, a Jamaican who lived in England and then relocated to Canada.

A panel discussion geared towards artist teams/managers, diving into the intricacies and core topics of scaling an artist’s business and representing talent in the modern music landscape.
